Committee

The Manurewa Business Association (MBA) is incorporated under the Societies Act 1908 and is governed according to its constitution. This is overseen by an Executive Committee comprising of up to nine elected MBA members. There is also a nominated representative of the Manurewa Local Board alongside the MBA Manager.

The MBA’s executive committee sets strategy, approves budgets, ensures that member funds are properly invested towards meeting MBA objectives, and ensures that MBA management meets agreed performance objectives. The Executive Committee generally holds 10 monthly meetings at the MBA office (there are no meetings in December and January), and an Annual General Meeting, at which time a new committee is elected by the members.

The elected Executive Committee votes itself a Chair and other meeting member roles as it sees required.
